We are the Radio Controlled Pullers of Central New York. We appreciate your interest in us. The concept behind this non-for-profit club is to not only appeal to the puller enthusiast, but also the modeler. We've been scale model truck and tractor pulling since 1986. We average about 30 local members per year.
Everything that you see is an attempt to stay within 1/10th scale of the real thing. For example:
the full size track is 300' by 40' with a 100' default line. Our track is 30' by 4' with a 10' default line. The vehicles are battery, gas, and nitro powered and pulling anywhere's from 2 pounds to over 100 pounds of solid lead weight in the transfer sled. In some cases and special events the weight can exceed 100lbs.
The scale appearances of the vehicles are closer now than ever before, and keep getting better year by year. This hobby is fast growing. What makes this such a great hobby is the combination of skill and fun. Should you choose to get involved in the hobby you'll find we are a very friendly and helpful group of people. We would gladly welcome you to our club and get you started in the right direction. But of course don't expect us to give you all the secrets up front! After all this is a friendly competition and everybody would like to be the winner.
Hopefully this will raise the enthusiasm of new pullers, with the final goal being more pullers, more members, and most of all more fun!
